This Morgan was made for adventure
It might be small but Morgan’s Super 3 has been built for jumbo journeys.
After realising that buyers of its earlier Three-Wheeler were travelling much further than Morgan ever imagined the traditional British car maker has designed its successor to be road trip ready.
In collaboration with motorcycle gear atelier Malle, Morgan’s special projects division developed a range of add-ons to make the Super 3 even more super for long distance travels. Extra accessory rails hold Malle luggage, a side-mounted searchlight adds extra illumination, there’s a CB radio for comms and various camera mounts to record adventures.
To prove the durability of the accessories – and the Super 3 itself – the car was used as a support vehicle on the Great Malle Mountain Rally, joining 75 motorcycle riders on a 1,500-mile trip across the Alps.
“The creation of the Morgan and Malle Super 3 support vehicle provides the focal point for what is a hugely exciting collaboration. We envisioned so many use cases for the Super 3 during its inception, so it’s rewarding to see some of them start to come to life. Watching Super 3 take on some of the most challenging Alpine routes has been incredible, such adventures perfectly represent the way owners have adopted Morgan’s three-wheeled models,” said Jonathan Wells, Morgan’s Chief Design Officer.
Having spent a delightful day exploring Morgan’s Malvern home in a Super 3 we’re green with envoy over this alpine adventure.
