Are these the world's least likely adventure vehicles?

Who says you need a chunky 4x4 or all-terrain RV to have an off-road, off-grid adventure?

The adventurous Acura

YouTuber Chris Cut has turned his 1996 Acura NSX into an amazing getaway car. The legendary Japanese supercar has been fitted with adjustable suspension to give it over eight inches of ground clearance so that it can access all areas. Chris originally fitted a roof tent to the car, but has now created a trailer out of a second NSX (which was an insurance write-off) that can carry his camping gear and a little foldable Honda Motocompo to scoot around campsites. The car now carries a roof box for extra gear. It’s probably not what Honda and Ayrton Senna had in mind when they were developing the NSX, but makes for seriously cool camping.

The unstoppable Morgan

Morgans have hardly changed in over a century. The quintessential classic roadsters have always been a delightful way to cruise around the British B-roads. Now, however, the Malvern firm has created the CX-T – a Morgan that needs no roads at all. Built in partnership with Rally Raid UK the car features rugged, lifted suspension and chunky all-terrain tyres. The biggest change is the installation of a tough exoskeleton to carry adventure gear, including pelican cases, bikes or surf boards and a set of powerful roof lights.

The Mini motel

While there’s no doubt the Mini is not quite as small as it used to be, it’s still not quite big enough to sleep in. That’s why Mini teamed up with Autohome to offer a spacious roof tent for the Countryman. The tent pops up in seconds and sleeps two people. Perfect for a Mini break or a bigger adventure.
