Detour Pit Stop #87: Ettore's Espresso Bar, London, UK

Bugatti cafe London

Bugatti serves up the capital’s most expensive espresso at its Mayfair showroom.

The coffee in question is called The Ettore Shot, comes in a special carbon fibre cup and costs £50. On the plus side sipping this most costly coffee at Ettore’s Espresso Bar, inside HR Owen Bugatti in Mayfair, does get you into the showroom itself for a close-up look at the Chiron or Baby Bugatti II on display.

Take a seat in one of the luxurious leather and carbon fibre armchairs from the Bugatti Home Collection, study the art and sculpture on display or browse the assorted merchandise and you’ll soon realise that your beverage was a bargain in comparison.

Thankfully those of us with more meagre means can still stop by and pick up a takeaway cappuccino or flat white for a modest price, albeit in a paper cup – once we’ve got through the queue of influencers sharing their Instagram stories and TikTok videos.
