Detour Pit Stop #22: Museo Ferrari, Italy

The cars are the obvious stars, but the most fascinating part of the Ferrari Museum is the exhibit dedicated to the man himself.

You’ll see his private letters, his first race cars, his overalls and helmets, even a recreation of his office, complete with a slightly creepy waxwork of Il Commendatore. It’s a brilliant insight into the mind of the man who would become legend.

 The hall of champions is home to Ferrari’s winning F1 cars, its drivers and their trophies, while beyond that are galleries of some of the most iconic road cars in the world.
