No more Pit Stops permitted at Reims

Stopping for a photo opp at the glorious old Grand Prix pits at Reims has been banned by the local authorities.

A new law passed by the mayor of nearby Gueux prohibits cars from stopping on the D27 between Reims and his town in a bid to end anti-social behaviour from some car enthusiasts.

Instagram fans and YouTubers have increasingly flocked to the famous French street circuit to photograph and film their cars, with some parking dangerously and others blasting past the pits at break-neck speeds.

The keepers of the historic track are said to be working on trying to end the ban, but in the meantime photo calls can be arranged by the Friends of the Circuit de Reims-Geuex.
