Porsche perfects ROADS app for more scenic route planning
Porsche has updated its ROADS mobile app with more advanced Artificial Intelligence for better road trip planning.
First launched in 2019 ROADS has gained more than 180,000 users who have shared their favourite driving routes. The latest update allows drivers to generate scenic routes with the aid of AI.
“The centrepiece of the new ROADS app is the generator for scenic routes”, says Robert Ader, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Porsche AG. “It allows driving fans to find their own individual dream route with just a few clicks. AI works out a suitable route based on various parameters such as the curves of the road, the topography, landscape features, or exciting points of interest. From their starting point, the user can plan a circuit route or navigate to a specific destination – no matter where in the world they are.”
Users can choose whether they want a curvy, balanced or dynamic route to planned and Porsche’s algorithms do the work.
Available for iPhone the ROADS app will also connect to Apple CarPlay so it can be operated from your car’s main infotainment screen.
ROADS is available to download for free at the Apple AppStore.
