Want to bed down with a brace of American classic cars? Then Frontier Vintage Station in Gillette, Wyoming is the AirBnB for you.
Located opposite the Frontier Auto Museum, this old filling station has been converted into comfortable and stylish accommodation for up to three people. The 1,350 sq ft studio includes a king size bed, a sofa-bed, vintage kitchenette and bathroom, and is decorated with automobilia.
What’s more you’ll be sharing the space with a stunning, original-condition 1947 DeSoto and a fully restored'49 Chevy pickup truck, together with classic fuel pumps, neon signs, and a retro jukebox. It’s like time travelling back to the early 1950s. Outside you’ll have plenty of space to park and can enjoy an evening beside the fire pit or a cook out on the grill.
Owner Jeff Wandler has a huge collection of cars in his museum, which is free to enter for guests at the Frontier Vintage Station. We can’t imagine a more appropriate place to base yourself for a Wyoming road trip, but if it’s booked, don’t worry as the Wandlers have four other properties available nearby including a small castle.
