Slide into 2025 with an Arctic Driving Experience

We can’t imagine a better start to 2025 than a road trip to frozen Finland for some hot laps of an ice track.

That’s the promise of Kalmar’s Spirit of Speed program, which offers drivers the chance to slide through the snow in Porsches with Norse driving gods as their instructors.

Located 150km north of the Arctic Circle the four-day adventure includes two full days driving a range of mid- and rear-engined Porsches fitted with special tungsten-tipped spiked tyres on a frozen lake, across marshland, and on twisty forest tracks. Instruction is provided by local Scandinavian rally drivers including WRC Champion Marcus Grönholm and the cars are a mix of classic and modern 911s and the smaller Cayman.

“The driving will be intense and maximum time on the ice means adrenaline will not be in short supply,” promises Kalmar.

Shelter from the winter weather is provided at a luxurious villa in Levi and Kalmar will arrange travel to and from Kittilä airport, with optional extras including snowmobiling, husky and reindeer sledding also available. Prices start at €9,911 and courses run from early January to February.
