Britain's best - and worst - motorway services revealed
More than 30,000 motorists were polled by watchdog Transport Focus to discover the nation’s favourite motorway pit stop.
Moto Rugby on the M6, which also happens to be the country’s newest services, was voted top for the second year in a row. Drivers loved Rugby’s 458 parking spots, its seven eateries and 24 ultra-fast EV chargers - which Detour can vouch for. There’s even a dedicate dog walking area for four-legged passengers to get some exercise.
Transport Focus looked at 120 services in its survey and, surprisingly, the average satisfaction score among motorists was a whopping 94 per cent, showing how much they have improved.
Motor took four out of the top ten spots, with Road Chef also also accounting for four spots in the top ten. The lowest ranked services, scoring 84 per cent for customer satisfaction was Welcome Break’s Hartshead Moor station on the M62.
