Britain’s 20 Best Roads as Voted by Drivers

According to a survey of 2,000 drivers, the road from Kendal to Keswick in the Lake District is Britain’s best drive.
The study, carried out by Isuzu UK, revealed that this 30-mile stretch of the A591 just pipped the route from Loch Lomond to Glencoe in Scotland, while the Coastal Way in Wales came in third place.
The Isuzu survey suggests that British drivers are a patriotic bunch, with 92 per cent of those questioned stating that they believe Britain is home to some of the most beautiful road trip routes in the world, while 60 per cent reckoned that driving in the UK is just as enjoyable, or even more enjoyable than taking a trip abroad. The report also detailed that, on average, Brits take seven road trips a year of 93 miles each, and that 88 per cent of them count the drive as a key part of any holiday.

Apparently 88 per cent of Britons also want to go on more road trips – and luckily Detour is here to help with more than 300 routes in 70 countries!
Here’s the Isuzu survey’s top 20 drives in the UK and you’ll see that the Detour has guides to them all so you can hit the road with confidence.
