You can turn your next rental car into an RV with this cool camper box

A new flight-friendly camper-in-a-box means that you can convert a hire car into a mobile home-from-home.

The MiniB kit packs into a compact carry case that be checked in at the airport and has been designed to fit most medium-sized hatchbacks and SUVs.

When you arrive at your chosen campsite a bit of jigsaw-like assembly is required to create a bed which sits on top of the boot floor and over the folded rear seats. Amazingly there’s even a slide-out kitchen, with a wide countertop, although you’ll have to provide your own camp stove and water carrier.

The MiniB goes beyond the basic needs of bed and breakfast, however, as the bed platform can be converted into a comfy sofa or you can re-assemble the components into an outdoor dining table with two seats.

Makers 123Labs from Poland are currently crowdfunding via Kickstarter where the first MiniBs are being sold for €878, with production planned to begin in May.

We've seen kits like this before, but the MiniB is the first that’s been designed to travel with you outside a car as well as in one.
